The road from real estate projects to innovation in health protection
Founder of the Romanian Building Owners Association (RABO), Liviu Tudor is a name synonymous with ambitious projects. The entrepreneur stood out on the Romanian real estate market, with Novo Park and West Gate Business District, two office parks in Bucharest totaling a leasable area of over 150,000 sqm. The two real estate projects also established the reputation of Genesis Property, as one of the largest Romanian owners of Class A office spaces. Moreover, together with his wife, Liviu Tudor built the largest private university campus in Romania, West Gate Studios, which annually welcomes 1400 Romanian and foreign students.
Liviu Tudor was born on March 21, 1961. He is married, has two children and is one of the most famous Romanian entrepreneurs, with an activity widely reflected in the media. Genesis Property real estate projects are carried out to the highest standards, and a clear proof of this is represented by the fact that they host the headquarters and offices of some of the most prestigious multinational companies. Among the most famous names we can mention: HP, Ericsson, Siemens, Accenture, Societe Generale Global Solution Center, Alpha Bank, Garanti BBVA, Infineon, Luxoft or Yokogawa.
Liviu Tudor graduated from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest and obtained the specialization of aeronautical engineering, and later, he attended specialized courses at London Business School. The businessman also holds the title of Doctor of Management, obtained at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Before joining the real estate field, the attraction to the business world determined Liviu Tudor to found the first satellite communications company in Romania.
Liviu Tudor currently holds the position of President of prestigious organizations, not only at national level, but also at European level, such as the European Property Federation. Liviu Tudor also holds the position of member of the Trilateral Commission, a global platform for open dialogue, of the World Presidents' Organization (YPO / WPO).
In 2013, he was appointed General Secretary of the Romanian Association for the Club of Rome (ARCoR). The organization has undertaken its mission to address the multiple crises facing humanity and the planet, an approach that is in line with the vision of the Romanian entrepreneur. The challenges brought by the year 2020, in terms of health, social, as well as in the business environment, determined Liviu Tudor to resort again to innovation, in order to find a solution to one of the most unpredictable crises that have affected humanity.
After an exceptional career, guided by the flair for success and the desire to change society for the better, Liviu Tudor's next project could only be one with a major impact. The businessman brought together a team of 20 experts in health, technology, architecture, construction, engineering and facility management. Their experience materialized in the elaboration of IMMUNE Building Standard™.
This innovative standard is geared towards the global marketplace and aims to certify the resilience of buildings to pathogenic threats, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. To be granted an IMMUNE™ certification, an authorized assessor needs to evaluate the building based on the 135 recommended measures. Each measure implemented earns the candidate building a certain number of points, with the total score eventually deciding its final label: Strong, Powerful or Resilient. This certification aims to change the way we work, live or socialize in the built environment of the future and introduce an innovative concept: healthy buildings.
