€2.7 BILLION FOR HOUSING IN PORTUGAL’S PROPOSED RECOVERY AND RESILIENCE PLAN

Out of a total of €16.4 billion.

The €2.7 billion Housing expenditure is all about emergency housing, temporary housing, transferring families to social housing and student housing, but not a word about any energy efficiency component. All we could find was mention of an energy efficiency element in rehabilitating 300 private properties in Madeira.

The very vaguely explained € 610 million for energy efficiency of buildings is split:

• residential: € 300 million
• central government: € 240 million
• service buildings: € 70 million
