ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF BUILDINGS DIRECTIVE NEGOTIATIONS IN THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS: A NOT SO FINAL AGREEMENT
Publication date:November 07, 2022
Minimum energy performance standards
- For non-residential, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands want less exemptions.
- For residential, they want more objective and verifiable renovation parameters and reinstatement of linear national renovation trajectories.
Solar energy in buildings (Art. 9a)
- Solar energy rooftop installation for existing public and non-residential buildings by end 2027 is now only for buildings over 400m² and not 250 m² as before.
- For both “practical implementation “ and “possible exemptions”, Member states can take into account structural integrity, biodiversity and stability of the electricity network.
