| BRIEF HISTORY |
The Finnish Association of Building Owners and Construction Clients (RAKLI) is an interest group and trade association representing the most prominent real estate and residential building owners, investors and service providers in Finland.
It was started in 1976 by construction clients. In its present form as an association uniting the building owners and the construction clients it started in 1996. In 2006 also the owners of residential buildings joined the association and now RAKLI has 400 members who all are professional property owners. |
| PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES |
RAKLI provides a network for real estate professionals to discuss mutual challenges, to exchange ideas and to share experiences and knowledge.
RAKLI contributes to the implementation of best practices in Asset Management, Property Management and Facilities Management.
Moreover, it promotes the application of high standards to building industry processes, real estate market information and benchmarking.
Lobbying. RAKLI represents its members in property ownership issues that pertain to legislation, taxation and common policies. This is done by contact with politicians and the media as well as by giving statements to current issues. RAKLI also informs actively its members about ongoing legislation processes.

RAKLI’s latest research projects deal mainly with developing asset management, property management and facilities management as well as with real estate investments. RAKLI is also a key player when new standards are developed to the real estate industry.
Members’ services. The members have the chance to participate in any of RAKLI´s committees or working groups and to work side-by-side with other leaders. RAKLI also provides its members with opportunities for networking within the membership and with a variety of service providers in the real estate industry. Legal and other advice related to the industry is available to the members as well as information provided in the members’ newsletter and a monthly magazine Locus. |
